I want to recycle alkeline batteries at home and to collect them for my school and then take them to a recycling center. I have read that when many batteries are put together it creates a dangerous charge which can explode. Is that true and, if so, how can we properly dispose of alkeline batteries? (I know that not buying them is the best solution but, beyond that..) Thank you.
