Is catalogchoice.org a legitimate web site for getting rid of all these catalogs that come by regular mail? Or is it a phishing site? Thanks.

Yes, www.catalogchoice.org is a service and website endorsed by NRDC. Catalog Choice will not sell, rent or otherwise share your contact details with anyone. Be sure to visit www.catalogchoice.org (not .com) to reduce the number of unwated catalogs you receive in the mail. It only takes 10 minutes!

How can I - at CatalogChoice- ask to get just ONE (or one/season) catalog a year. I still want the catalogs, but not 2 a week every Fall.

No thanks! These people want the password to your e-mail account before they will let you sign up! Again, no thanks!

You do not have to give your email password to sign up for Catalog Choice at www.catalogchoice.org. You'll be asked to create a password for your Catalog Choice account, you do not need to give your email password. I'll pass along your comment to Catalog Choice, it's easy to misunderstand the sign up page. Thanks for letting us know!
At this time Catalog Choice doesn't offer the option of receiving just one catalog a year. You should call the manufacturer and ask them directly. If they hear from enough customers, they might offer just one catalog a year for people like yourself.
