Farming for the Community (Video)
North of New York City near the bank of the Hudson River there is fertile land for pumpkin patches, apple orchards and pastures. Here, near the town of Tivoli, Ben Shute is bringing his farm closer to his customers. Rob Goodier talked with Shute about his farm, HeartyRoots, and the community-supported agriculture program that gives New York City residents a share in the year's spinach, bok choi, kohl rabi, melons, apples and other crops.
