Alice Henly, Associate Editor, NRDC Simple Steps and Smarter Cities 

A recent graduate of Yale University, Alice is the associate editor and lead researcher for the NRDC Smarter Living and Smarter Cities programs as well as a contributing reporter for NRDC's OnEarth journal. Alice attended COP15 as a reporter for the Yale Wheel Journal of Sustainable Development and worked with the Council of Ivy Group Presidents and NCAA on greening athletics. She is also a three-time NCAA national rowing champion and three-time Head of the Charles champion. 

 

Roland Hwang, Vehicles Policy Director, NRDC Energy Program

Roland is the Vehicles Policy Director for NRDC's energy program, working on transportation energy and global warming issues at the state and national levels. Roland is based in San Francisco. Paul McRandle, Consulting Senior Editor, NRDC Simple Steps and Smarter Cities

Paul edits the Simple Steps and Smarter Cities websites and covers issues ranging from environmental contaminants to transportation improvements. Prior to working with NRDC, Paul was the deputy editor of National Geographic's Green Guide  and has written on green living issues for WorldWatch, Grist, Huffington Post and other publications.

 

Mandy Simon, Contributing Writer

 Mandy does full-time communications work for a non-profit and contributes to the Internet Food Association, a blog run by hungry D.C. wonks and journalists. Gina Solomon, Senior Scientist, NRDC Health Program

 Gina has been a senior scientist at NRDC for 12 years, and her work is focused on protecting people from toxic chemicals. She has worked on preventing mercury and lead poisoning, researching levels of diesel exhaust inside school buses, banning the most dangerous pesticides, getting endocrine-disrupting chemicals out of consumer products, and helping to answer people's questions about their health and the environment. Luke Tonachel, Vehicle Analyst, NRDC Energy Program

When I was 9 years old, my parents loaded me and my siblings into the family station wagon headed west from Massachusetts. We spent the whole summer visiting the beautiful parks around the country and visiting far-flung extended family.
